Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13277453263

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, SKU sku-13277453263 and UPC 467785812820, is a Black, size L historic print of a New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Co. diesel-electric locomotive. It measures 16" x 20". The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural heritage. The company's other prints include old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or as gifts.
