Snapshots of the Past Wall Art item sku-13277303130 is a Black, size L historic print titled Dead rebel in front of Petersburg, measuring 16 by 20 inches. Its UPC is 466320520367. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company's prints use fine-art and archival paper; archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to preserve them for generations.

Its range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and retro-style posters for homes, studies or workplaces and as gifts.
