Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13242868518

Snapshots of the Past sku-13242868518 is a Black Wall Art print in size L, UPC 465916577587. The 16" x 20" image shows H&WHRR car #2 at the G.L. Filley store in Hartford, Conn., among horse-drawn street railways. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

The company's account of historical printing notes the invention of lithography in 1796 and the Library of Congress American Memory pilot in 1989, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program begun in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The company also offers reproductions of holiday posters and early aerial views of cities.
