Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13643756910

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print is Black, size L, and measures 18 x 24 inches. Its image combines a painting of the February 1917 revolution in Leningrad with a photo of a large assembly there, possibly of the Communist Party, and a manifesto. Snapshots of the Past makes restored reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass-produced prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company's prints use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks, materials described as suitable for long-term keeping.

Its range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-13643756910. UPC: 467200384185.
