Snapshots of the Past Historic Wall Art L sku-13237666975

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art: a historic print of Brook Street, Ragged and Industrial School, measuring 16" x 20". This Black, size L reproduction is restored from Library of Congress archives and printed with archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The company's historical maps, photographs and posters include subjects such as old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. Snapshots of the Past says it was founded in 2001 and was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers; it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796, enabling inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections emphasizing American cultural history. SKU: sku-13237666975. UPC: 467799717777.
