Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13209172143, UPC 463861732976, is listed in Black and size L. This 16" x 20" historic print depicts Central Congregational Church in Hartford, Conn. The company's reproductions draw on historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives and use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796, enabling inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history. The company's retro prints include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

They can be displayed at home or at work or given as gifts.
