Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L, color Black, sku-13248703921, UPC 463730346396, is a 16" x 20" historic reproduction of a Washington Cathedral scene dated Sept. 14. It shows Bishop of Washington James E. Freeman and the Rev. Noble C. Powell inspecting the north transept.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past makes reproductions of historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. Its prints use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. The company says its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers.

It was a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, a technique that enabled inexpensive mass production of prints, was invented in 1796. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history.

The company's other subjects include holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
