Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13241404624

Snapshots of the Past offers this Black, size L Wall Art reproduction of the Battle of Wilson's Creek near Springfield, Missouri, at 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives and makes reproductions with archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of poster prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections documenting American cultural heritage. The company's retro prints include holiday posters and early aerial views of cities and can be displayed at home or at work or given as gifts. SKU sku-13241404624; UPC 462970580461.
