Snapshots of the Past L Wall Art | sku-13283156119

Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art in size L, SKU sku-13283156119 and UPC 464807227112, is a 16" x 20" historic print titled An august convention. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections emphasizing the complexity of American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art and archival papers and pigmented inks, which can last a lifetime and be passed down.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. These retro-style prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
