Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art, size L (sku-5231426979, UPC 469084165638), is a framed reproduction print titled [Training school, Lincoln Motor Co., Detroit, Mich.] and measures 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, a printing method that enabled inexpensive mass production of posters, was invented in 1796. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. The range also includes vintage holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display or gifts.
