Snapshots of the Past framed Wall Art L | sku-5286910104

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, is a framed reproduction print titled "I have seen his star in the east, and have come to worship him." It measures 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". The company's historical maps, photographs and prints are restored from Library of Congress archives and reproduced on fine-art archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of Internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive. In 1989, the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project, which laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995 to digitize selected collections documenting American cultural heritage.

The company also offers old holiday posters and early aerial views of cities including Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display or as gifts. SKU sku-5286910104; UPC 465081399175.
