Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art L sku-5290305424

Snapshots of the Past Black framed Wall Art, size L, shows Herbert Hoover signing the Farm Relief Bill with nine other men standing alongside and behind him. The print measures 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of poster prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. These reproductions use archival fine-art paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts. UPC 464558349859; SKU sku-5290305424.
