Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L framed print of the Havasupai Indian school in Cataract Canyon, measuring 17-7/8" x 21-7/8". SKU sku-5283712608; UPC 464590310206. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of Internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project.

Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of poster prints possible. In 1989, the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995. That program digitizes selected Library collections focused on the complex history of American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks can last a lifetime and be passed down. The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, plus early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. These retro-style prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
