Constructed from T6061 aerospace grade aluminum, the DT-03 weighs only 12.7oz(360g) while supporting up to 33lb.(15Kgs), making it suitable for heavy, long telephoto lenses used for fast-action subjects and birding. The head features dual-lock knobs on both left and right sides that can be secured individually or together; engaging both locks yields maximum clamping strength, improved balance and extended service life. The panning base rotates a full 360 degrees smoothly and can be locked to prevent accidental movement during shooting. A scale mark on the panning base serves as a guide for panoramic stitching. Elongated control knobs improve grip and ease of use; both knobs and the panning base screw-knob are xx design to ensure simple operation without interfering with other parts. The head includes an Arca standard dovetail lever clamp for quick, positive locking and the clamping width is adjustable to accept QR plates of different widths. The mounting hole at the base uses the Arca standard so you can swap the clamp if desired. The clamp allows a 180 degrees fore-aft tilting angle and is also 360 degrees rotatable horizontally. Included QR plate DP-60R ships with both 1/4” and 3/8” screws so you can select the correct thread for your camera or lens.
