It weighs 795g (1.75lbs) in portrait mode or 850 g (1.8 lbs) with the horizontal plate, around 50% less than the RS 3 Pro and 40% less than the RS 3. High-torque motors help maintain framing while zooming on most lenses without rebalancing. Mount the standard quick-release plate on the vertical arm for portrait shooting; upright, underslung, flashlight and 3D Roll 360 moves are also supported.

The dual-layer ARCA-standard plate has a curved guide and mounting and locking marks. A NATO port accepts handles, lights and monitors. Bluetooth shutter control reconnects after pairing. The front dial controls focus, ISO, aperture, shutter and gimbal axes; with supported Sony digital lenses, it controls zoom without a cable.

The M button switches among PF, PTF and FPV modes, with follow speed and other settings adjustable on the device. A 1.4" color touchscreen provides access to most settings. The integrated battery runs for up to 10 hours, recharges in as little as 2.5 hours and permits use while charging.

The gimbal can pair with DJI Mic, whose charging case provides storage and up to 15 hours of runtime; its transmission range is up to 250 m, and its transmitters include magnetic mounting accessories.
