No rating yet(0 ratings)This Unbranded Tools & Gadgets kit, model 1, pairs an angle guide jig with a 4-sided buffalo leather strop for knife sharpening. The strop measures 15.7"x3" and has a 2cm nylon base with a stated ±0.1mm flatness tolerance. Its 4mm leather is hand-sanded to 1000-grit.
The included diamond pastes are W.25 (60K grit), W.5 (15K grit), W1 (15K grit) and W3 (7K grit), intended for hard steels such as M390 and VG10. White aluminum oxide rouge is 1 micron; green chromium oxide rouge is 0.5 micron. The strop has two 3"x10" faces for kitchen knives and two 0.8"x10" faces for pocket knives and tools.
The jig holds blades up to 7mm thick, fits stones 25 to 55mm high and adjusts one-handed to 30°. It uses scratch-resistant nylon screws, 304 stainless steel and aluminum. The strop uses waterproof 55280 adhesive. Wipe the kit clean and store it dry. SKU sku-18560553773; UPC 727458421118.
