Ultra-slim aluminum frame designed to prevent vignetting while still permitting full rotation for exposure/level adjustment. A nonslip upper rim makes it simple to mount, turn and remove the filter. The glass features double-sided, multi-layered coatings and is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch & water resistant. As a circular CPL, the filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass, boosts color depth and contrast, and is commonly used to intensify saturation in blue skies and white clouds. CPL filters work by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of that light to be absorbed; they also reduce haze in distant landscapes and deliver richer, more vivid colors. The effect is strongest when shooting at a 90° angle from the sun.
