Its slim aluminum frame allows full rotation while preventing vignetting, and a nonslip upper rim helps with mounting and removal. The glass has double-sided, multi-layer coatings and resists oil, dust, soil, scratches and water.
The filter reduces reflections from nonmetallic surfaces such as water and glass by filtering directionally polarized light. It can deepen blue skies, bring out white cloud detail and reduce distant haze; the strongest effect is at a 90° angle to the sun.
