Circular Polarizer Filter for Sony Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm F1.4 ZA SSM

This Circular CPL filter is designed for the Sony Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm F1.4 ZA SSM to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces (water, glass, etc.) while improving color and contrast. The ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting yet still allows full rotation for fine polarization adjustments; a nonslip upper rim makes installation, rotation and removal straightforward. Optics are treated with double sided, multi-layered coatings — anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil — and are scratch & water resistant. CPL filters work by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of that glare to be absorbed. The result is reduced haze on distant landscapes and more saturated, vivid colors; the effect is strongest when used at a 90° angle from the sun. Often employed to deepen blue skies and enhance the contrast of white clouds.
