Designed for the Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter uses an ultra-slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting while still allowing smooth rotation for precise level adjustments. A nonslip upper rim makes mounting, turning and removal straightforward. Both surfaces feature double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil and resistant to scratches and water. The CPL removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass, and boosts color and contrast—especially useful for deepening blue skies and making white clouds pop. By aligning and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected rays, the filter absorbs much of that light, reducing haze in distant landscapes and producing richer, more vivid colors. For maximum effect aim the filter roughly 90° from the sun.
