Circular Polarizer (CPL) for Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM — Ultra-Slim, Multi-Coated

Designed for use with the Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass and other materials while boosting color and contrast. The ultra-slim aluminum frame minimizes vignetting and still permits smooth rotation for fine adjustment. A textured, nonslip upper rim makes mounting, rotating and removing the filter easier. Optical performance is enhanced by double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, and resistant to scratches and water. CPLs work by aligning and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of that light to be absorbed; the effect is strongest when shooting at a 90° angle to the sun. Use it to cut haze in distant landscapes and to increase saturation and contrast in blue skies and white clouds.
