Circular Polarizer (CPL) for Sony 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 G SSM

Made for the Sony 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 G SSM, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter reduces reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while intensifying color and contrast. An ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting and still permits rotation for precise level adjustment. The nonslip upper rim makes mounting, turning and removal simple and secure. Optical glass is treated with double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, and both scratch & water resistant. CPL filters work by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing much of that light to be absorbed — clearing haze in distant landscapes and producing richer, more saturated colors. The effect is strongest when the filter is used at a 90° angle to the sun, and it is especially effective at enhancing contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds.
