Circular Polarizer (CPL) for Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G SSM II

Made for use with the Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G SSM II, this circular polarizing filter features an ultra-slim aluminum frame that prevents vignetting while still allowing smooth rotation for leveling. A nonslip upper rim gives secure, easy mounting, adjustment and removal. Both glass surfaces receive double-sided, multi-layer coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch resistant and water resistant. The CPL reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass, improves color richness and contrast (notably increasing saturation in blue skies and white clouds) and clears haze in distant landscapes for more vivid results. The filter works by selectively filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light so much of that light is absorbed. For the strongest effect position the filter roughly at a 90° angle from the sun.
