Precision circular polarizing (CPL) filter made for the Nikon NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct. The ultra-slim aluminum frame is engineered to prevent vignetting while still allowing smooth rotation for fine adjustment. A nonslip upper rim makes mounting, turning and removal simple and secure. Optical surfaces feature double-sided, multi-layer coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust and anti-soil, and that provide scratch- and water-resistant protection. The CPL removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass, enhances color and contrast, and is commonly used to deepen blue skies and make white clouds pop. By arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, the filter absorbs much of the glare, clearing haze in distant landscapes and yielding more saturated, vivid colors. The effect is strongest when the filter is used at a 90° angle to the sun.
