Constructed with an ultra-slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting while still permitting rotation for level adjustments. A nonslip upper rim makes it easy to mount, rotate and remove the filter. The glass features double-sided, multi-layered coatings and is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch & water resistant. As a circular CPL, this filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, and it can boost color and contrast. Photographers commonly use it to deepen blue skies and increase saturation in white clouds. CPL filters work by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light so that much of that light is absorbed. The filter also reduces haze in distant landscapes and produces more saturated, vivid colors, with the strongest effect when used at a 90° angle from the sun.
