Circular Polarizer (CPL) — Compatible with Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS

Designed for the Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter uses an ultra-slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting while still permitting smooth rotation to set polarization levels. A nonslip upper rim makes mounting, turning and removing the filter quick and secure. The glass is treated with double-sided, multi-layer coatings and is anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch and water resistant. Use it to cut unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces (water, glass, etc.) and to boost color and contrast — particularly effective for intensifying blue skies and defining white clouds. The CPL works by arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of the reflected light to be absorbed. This reduces haze on distant landscapes and yields more vivid, saturated colors; the effect is strongest when the filter is used at a 90° angle to the sun.
