This circular polarizing (CPL) filter removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass while boosting color and contrast — particularly effective for deepening blue skies and brightening white clouds. CPL filters arrange and filter directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, allowing much of that light to be absorbed; the effect is strongest when used at a 90° angle from the sun and helps clear haze in distant landscapes for more saturated, vivid colors. Constructed with an ultra-slim aluminum frame to avoid vignetting, the filter still provides rotation capabilities for adjusting levels. A nonslip upper rim makes installation, rotation and removal easy. The glass features double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, and scratch & water resistant.
