Compatible with the Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while boosting color saturation and contrast—especially for deepening blue skies and brightening white clouds. CPL filters arrange and filter directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of the light; this clears haze in distant landscapes and yields more vivid, saturated colors. The strongest effect occurs when used at a 90° angle from the sun. Built with an ultra-slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting, the filter still provides rotation capability for level adjustments.
