It reduces reflections from nonmetallic surfaces such as water and glass, deepens blue skies, brings out white clouds, reduces distant haze, and increases color saturation and contrast. Its slim aluminum frame helps prevent vignetting and rotates to adjust polarization; a nonslip rim helps with handling.
