Circular CPL Filter for Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G — Ultra-Slim Aluminum Frame

Made for the Sony 70-200mm F2.8 G, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter features an ultra-slim aluminum frame that prevents vignetting while still allowing full rotation to adjust polarization levels. A nonslip upper rim makes it easy to mount, rotate and remove the filter. Both sides are finished with double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil and resistant to scratches and water. CPL filters remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, etc., and boost color and contrast—commonly used to deepen blue skies and enhance white clouds. By arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light, much of the unwanted light is absorbed, clearing haze in distant landscapes and producing more saturated, vivid colors; the effect is strongest when shooting at a 90° angle from the sun.
