Continental Photo lists the Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 STM lens under Camera Accessories. SKU sku-523114054; UPC 797435797130. This compact, lightweight 50 mm prime has a wide aperture for low-light shooting and background separation. On APS-C bodies it gives an effective focal length of 80 mm, suited to portraits and moving subjects such as children and pets.

Gear-type STM autofocus supports Movie Servo AF for smooth, quiet continuous focusing in video and steady still-photo performance. The redesigned exterior has a relocated focus ring, and Canon describes it as its most compact 50 mm option. It has a metal mount, multi-coatings intended to maintain color balance and reduce ghosting and flare, and a 7-blade circular aperture for soft bokeh.

Close focus is 1.15 ft. (0.35 m), with 0.21x maximum magnification. The title lists compatibility with Canon EOS 100, 1200, 1300, 1D, 5D, 5DS, 6D, 70, 700, 750, 760, 7D, 80 and 8000, plus Kiss X8i and Rebel T6s.
