The Amcrest NV4232-EI-4TB is a 32-channel AI network video recorder designed for high-resolution surveillance. It ships with a pre-installed 4TB HDD and supports expansion up to 2 x 16TB hard drives. The unit records and displays live video up to 12MP/4K resolution at real-time 30 fps and is compatible with up to 32 x 4K IP cameras. Note: this model does not include PoE ports. Built-in H.265/H.264 dual compression reduces storage needs while preserving UltraHD image quality, allowing longer retention of footage. The recorder delivers a maximum throughput of 256 Mbps (reduced to 180 Mbps when AI functions are enabled) for reliable, low-latency HD streaming. Advanced AI capabilities include Human and Vehicle Detection, Facial Recognition and Facial Detection, plus analytics such as Heat Map and People Counting. IVS features like Tripwire and Intrusion are supported (additional IVS functions available when used with Amcrest AI cameras). Intelligent search tools, precise one-second exact search, playback options and USB backup make review and archiving straightforward. This NVR supports both Amcrest WiFi and wired IP cameras and must be connected directly to your router via a hardwired Ethernet connection to operate.
