The Amcrest NV4108E-A2 is an 8-channel PoE network video recorder with a pre-installed 4TB hard drive (supports hard drives up to 10TB). It delivers real-time 8-channel recording and live view at up to 8MP/4K resolution @ 30fps. Playback capability: 8-Channel @ 1080p (30fps) / 4-Channel @ 4MP (30fps) / 2-Channel @ 4K (30fps). Compatibility: Works with all Amcrest WiFi and wired IP cameras and offers limited interoperability with third-party ONVIF/compliant IP cameras. The recorder can manage and power PoE cameras directly over their Ethernet connections for simplified installation. Storage & Compression: Advanced H.265 video compression reduces file sizes without sacrificing UltraHD quality to extend recording time. Note: the unit supports a maximum incoming bandwidth of 80Mbps and can record 8 cameras @ 4K using H.264. For optimal 8-camera 4K recording, change the default codec from H.264 to H.265 and set each camera’s bit rate to 1792. Smart features: Includes intelligent search, precise playback and easy backup functions — for example, motion detection event searches and exact searches accurate to one second. The NVR supports AI features provided by compatible AI IP cameras (AI functionality depends on the camera model). It supports up to 2CH AI cameras at 4K@30fps; there are no built-in AI features on the NVR itself.
