For lenses with mold or haze, use lens cleaning paper dampened with a mixture of absolute alcohol and ether—use only a small amount of liquid and keep contact time brief to avoid liquid penetration and potential corrosion. For oily lenses, clean immediately after use: first remove most oil by wiping once or twice with dry lens tissue, follow with two wipes using xylene-wet lens tissue, and finish with a final dry lens tissue wipe.
