Optical lens care: follow the sequence of blowing, brushing, then wiping. Begin by removing loose particles with a blower (or an ear wash ball); do not use your mouth to blow air. If debris remains, gently sweep the surface with a clean, dedicated lens brush. For persistent contamination, lightly moisten lens cleaning paper with xylene and wipe the glass gently.

For lenses with mold or haze, use lens cleaning paper dampened with a mixture of absolute alcohol and ether—use only a small amount of liquid and keep contact time brief to avoid liquid penetration and potential corrosion.

For oily lenses, clean immediately after use: first remove most oil by wiping once or twice with dry lens tissue, follow with two wipes using xylene-wet lens tissue, and finish with a final dry lens tissue wipe.
