Florida Foliage Sun Exposure 20 Plants sku-14541360457

Florida Foliage lists these 20 Plants under Sun Exposure. This evergreen Brunfelsia pauciflora floribunda shrub opens deep violet flowers that turn light violet and then white over 3 days. White, lavender and purple flowers can appear on the shrub at the same time.

It grows at a moderate rate to 3 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide, though annual pruning after flowering can keep it at 3 to 4 ft. tall. Cutting-grown plants can be used in shrub borders, screens or foundation plantings, including north or east exposures and spots beneath large conifers. The shrub prefers partial sun and enriched, slightly acidic soil.

It tolerates sun but benefits from shelter from harsh sunlight in hot summer areas and performs reliably outside the hottest climates. Water regularly during the first growing season, feed with an acid fertilizer before spring growth, and mulch to conserve moisture. Yellowing leaves may indicate an element deficiency; supplemental microelement fertilizer such as epsom salts can help.
