Connectivity and battery: The X98 offers tri-mode operation with USB-C wired, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2.4GHz wireless links so you can switch between multiple devices effortlessly. Compatible with Windows and macOS, it works with laptops, desktops, tablets and more. A built-in 10000mah high-capacity battery extends wireless runtime for long sessions. Hot-swap & switches: This custom keyboard features a hot-swap PCB compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, letting you replace switches and keycaps without soldering. It ships with pre-lubed stabilizers and linear switches for a creamy, smooth typing and gaming feel. Build and acoustics: The X98 uses a gasket-mount structure with 6 layers of filler silencer placed between the PCB, positioning plate, and shaft to minimize hollow noise and produce a thocky, ASMR-like tone. PCB single key slotting increases flexibility and resilience for a quieter, more comfortable keypress. Performance and programmability: In wired mode the keyboard delivers a 1000Hz polling rate and 2ms latency for fast response. Anti-ghosting and N key rollover guarantee accurate input. All keys are macro programmable via the X98 driver so you can assign single-key or combination functions. Layout and ergonomics: Designed as a compact 98% layout, the X98 packs 99 keys including a number pad, arrow cluster, and function row while saving desk space. Two-stage adjustable feet and Cherry profile PBT keycaps improve comfort and durability for extended use. Lighting: Enjoy 16 million RGB colors with 16 preset lighting modes and 10 music-rhythm lighting effects available through the driver. Brightness and speed can be adjusted with key combinations or in the software to create the desired atmosphere for gaming or creative work. Keycaps and durability: The gradient black, side-printed shine-through PBT keycaps are made using double-shot and dye-sublimation techniques so legends stay vivid and resist fading and sweat. The matte, grease-resistant texture ensures long-lasting clarity and a premium feel.
