Podiatry Axial & Sesamoid Sponge - Closed Cell (CCNZ) Closed Cell Sponges are made from a lightweight, radiolucent, non-porous foam. These comfortable positioning sponges resist fluid, are easy to clean and extremely durable. Featured in a non-coated, charcoal grey color. Radiolucent for artifact free imaging. CLOSED CELL crosslink polyethylene foam has a firm feel and a higher tensile and tear strength compared to most foam products. This specialty closed cell is the ideal solution for podiatry positioning. The 15° angle maintains positioning to visualize metatarsals, sesamoids and plantar condyles. Designed to facilitate imaging of longitudinal arch and lateral projection studies of feet and ankles, this sponge has a 300 lb. weight bearing capacity. Medical positioners provide support to the patient during x-rays & procedures. Patients can comfortably remain in the required position, reducing costly downtime for repositioning.
