Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the pictured unit. Purpose: intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the operation.
