This listing is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique data in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
