This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This part is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Confirm whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip holding essential parameters required for correct drive operation; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
