This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is designed for HDD repair and data recovery work. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
