This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory, the exact circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before buying, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform that transfer. For customers ordering $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
