This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Due to our large stock levels, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM chip that is required for proper drive operation; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically relocated, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
