This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
