This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are sold for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
