This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: many WD PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM (memory) chip. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new board, a local computer technician can usually perform that transfer.
