This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we keep large quantities in stock, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB is likely to fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important technical note: many WD PCBs store drive-specific data in a ROM ("memory") chip. That ROM content is required for the drive to operate correctly, so the ROM chip or its stored data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the new board with the correct ROM data.
