This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible WD SATA 3.5 drives. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important technical note: most HDD PCBs store unique calibration/firmware data in the ROM memory chip; that ROM information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
