This sale includes the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Due to our large inventory, the exact board shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most drive PCBs store unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board reprogrammed). If a physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
