This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — NO hard drive included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most drive PCBs store essential, unique data in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to function. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be relocated, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer; for customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
